About Education Commission

Education Commission of Polish American Congress is a diverse group of passionate people who dedicate their work to promote the study of the Polish language, history and culture, and to enhance the understanding of Polish history and identity in America.

We will continue to provide everyone interested in Poland and all Polish things with reliable and useful resources to learn language, find out about history, culture, art, or discover Polish music, cuisine, and traditions. Because we love Polish!

Our Mission

Mission statement of the PAC Education Commission:

• We cultivate Polishness in America.
• We promote and strengthen the presence of Polish heritage, language, culture and tradition in the Polish diaspora as well as in American society.
• We support initiatives to popularize Polish language and cultural educational services in both the public and private sectors.
• We prepare and enroll student in Polish proficiency exams, such as the Seal of Biliteracy for high school students and the Global Biliteracy exam for adults.
• We encourage the families of Polish immigrants to teach their children about their cultural and linguistic heritage by attending Polish schools or introducing Polish in public or private schools, elementary schools, high schools or on college campuses.
• We advocate establishing Polish courses in colleges that do not yet have them yet for their students of Polish ancestry or interested in Poland, and developing the collegiate programs already available
